“This piece was inspired by meeting a gentleman at my girlfriend’s parents’ home. At the time, he was working on her dad’s car. His name is Kevin and he had some very interesting stories to tell, and plenty more I’m sure. With his permission I took a number of photos of him and this is the result of one of those reference pictures. I think you could say that this piece is about belonging.” – Simon Venter
